Mickey Kertesz | CEO , Co-Founder

Mickey holds a PhD in Computational Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Prior to co-founding Moleculo, he did his post-doc at Stanford University, where he developed novel methods for sequencing the genetic diversity of human viruses. His research was published in Cell (2007), Nature Genetics (2007), PNAS (2008), and Nature (2010). Prior to his PhD studies, Michael spent six years in industry, working for a large telecommunication company, co- founding two startups and consulting others.

Dr. Sanjoy Som is a postdoctoral fellow at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. Trained in aerospace engineering and planetary sciences, and a graduate of Stanford GSB's Ignite program, Dr. Som has a passion for thinking about new ways to undertake and communicate science.

Narges Bani | CEO, Founder
Bina Technologies

Narges Bani Asadi founded Bina to bring the results of many years of multidisciplinary research on systems biology and high performance computing at Stanford University and UC Berkeley to the world of genomics. Narges has extensive experience in informatics and high performance computing. She holds multiple patents, and has several publications including the award- winning “ParaLearn” paper at the 2010 International SuperComputing Conference. She holds a Masters and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Milton Yu | CEO, Co-Founder,

Milton is a Damon Runyon Postdoctoral Fellow in Liqun Luo lab of Biology Department. His research focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of axon degeneration during nervous system development. Prior to his postdoc training, Milton received PhD from Baylor College of Medicine, and B.S. from Peking University, Beijing, China.

Hyejun Ra | CTO, Co-founder
Skin Deep Diagnostics

Hyejun Ra received her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University where her research focused on developing MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) and optical systems for biomedical imaging and sensing applications. She is currently a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine, passionate about translating biotechnology into clinical applications for improved patient care. Hyejun co-founded her own biotechnology startup, Skin Deep Diagnostics, in 2012. She also served as Co-president of AIMS in 2012, strengthening entrepreneurial contacts and resources for Stanford postdocs.
