Bio of the speaker:

Matt Clements joined Ropes & Gray after graduating from Columbia Law School in 2006. He had previously earned a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University (2000) and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Univ. of Washington (2003).

Matt has participated in all stages of patent litigation in district courts and the ITC. In addition to litigation, Matt has experience preparing and prosecuting patents in the U.S. and abroad, preparing requests for reexamination, prosecuting patents undergoing reexamination, and opposing trademark registrations. Matt has also negotiated software licenses and website development agreements, conducted IP due diligence investigations in connection with IP asset purchases, and advised clients concerning third-party patents, including performing noninfringement and invalidity analyses.
